TITLE
Hernan is a stage dancer. I’m a ballroom convert.
As a ballroom dancer one day I was pulled into Argentine Tango class. I was kicking and pushing because I didn’t know the single move. And I discovered – I didn’t have to. By some unexplainable magic powers, I was led into movements I didn’t know existed. I was amazed. How is this possible?
Then Chicho came to New York and I saw the Tango as a journey. Never ending journey to the horizon. Illusive. Without end. Always showing you the new door, the new opening, the new possibility.
Like most Tango Addicts I got enchanted and captured by the Tango. As a logical mind I tried to put everything in order, make charts and classify the solutions and possibilities. Give it names. Connect it somehow. It worked - to certain degree. Every time I thought I’m close to the end I discovered the new book, or the old book. Hear the new explanation, saw the new solution.
How many times you thought you just made the Biggest Discovery Ever and then heard someone, who you don’t even know, teaching it? Or – like in my case – read it in the book published 10 years before I had even started the Tango. Somehow, in parallel universe, Someone Discovered the same thing years before me.
The internet made sharing Tango so much easier. And – statistically proven – open-source sharing prompts much faster evolution. Let’s share the Tango. Pass it on. Help it evolve. Help it spread. Help it be understood.
